How to Access Your Photo Library in Squarespace
With Squarespace’s recent release of the Asset Library, you can now easily view and manage all of your media files. There are also some limitations of the Asset Library that this article will address.
Accessing the Asset Library
Select “Asset Library” located in the side navigation of your Squarespace site. This will open your asset library where every media file that has been uploaded to your Squarespace site is located.
Managing Your Assets
Things You Can Do in the Asset Library
Search for a specific image
Sort the images by Newest-Oldest, Oldest-Newest, Alphabetical order, and reverse alphabetical order
Add/upload new files
View file details
Delete files
Switch between a gallery view and a list view
Limitations of the Asset Library
You can’t edit individual images from here (i.e. saturation, brightness, filters, cropping). You will need to use the file uploader in the Squarespace editor to upload new media files to your Squarespace site. You can do this by adding an image block to a page on your site, clicking the “+” button to add a new image, uploading a new image or selecting an image from your asset library or the stock photo library, and then clicking the pencil icon to edit the image
