No, Squarespace 7.1 does not support developer mode. Developer mode is only available in Squarespace 7.0.

Why is Developer Mode Not Supported in 7.1?

Squarespace has not offered any explanation as to why version 7.1 does not support developer mode, but all we know is that it will not be added in the future, so you will need to use a Squarespace 7.0 template in order to access developer mode.

Are There Any Alternatives to Developer Mode?

There are no real alternatives to developer mode in version 7.1, but there are still different ways you can add custom code to Squarespace, including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.

You’ll have to get a bit creative in order to achieve what you want, but you’d be surprised what’s possible with a little imagination, creative thinking, and of course coding. If you don’t believe me, check out the the multitude of third-party Squarespace plugins that are available in the Squarespace 7.1 marketplace.
