How to Copy a Section to Other Pages in Squarespace Using Saved Sections

Squarespace 7.1 now offers you the option to save certain page sections so that you can reuse page sections on multiple pages without having to manually recreate the sections. In this blog post, I will be walking you through how to use Saved Sections to enhance your page editing experience.

What Are Saved Sections?

Saved sections are a feature added to Squarespace 7.1 in 2022 that allow content editors to save sections for future use on other pages. This removes the inconvenience of previously having to manually recreate page sections that you want to use on other pages.

How to Save a Section and Use a Saved Section

Here’s how to save a section in Squarespace 7.1:

  1. Hover over the page section. This will reveal a popover with a Heart icon (see first image below).

  2. Click the Heart icon. This will prompt Squarespace to save the section. You’ll know a section has been saved because another popover will appear showing all saved sections (see second image below).

  3. Now, every time you add a page section using the “ADD SECTION” buttons in the editor, you will be given the option to add a new section, add a saved section, or add one of the many pre-made sections.
